Kamakura

I went to Kamakura and Enoshima this weekend. Known for it's historic temples and shrines, It was truly beautiful. The traditional architecture of the buildings were all stunning. I definitely want to go back again-this time with more time to explore!

Meiji Shrine

Went to Meiji Shrine today- a large shrine located in Harajuku, Tokyo. The architecture of the shrines and buildings were extremely beautiful and I can't wait to visit others in Kyoto and Osaka soon!

Kimonos and Calligraphy

Today I participated in a cultural event at school where we got to try on Yukatas (Kimonos) and write our names with traditional Japanese Calligraphy.

Japanese Shrine

Class trip to one of the many temples in Japan. Got about 20 bug bites from this day, but the trip was still worth it. Architecture in Japan really is beautiful.

The Beginning..

I meant to start this blog right when I got to Japan, but better late than never I guess. I've been in Japan for about three weeks now and plan to use this blog for updates and pictures for friends and family back home. <3
